Once, with great diligence and a deft hand, she stood on the banks of the Danube: the Viennese washerwoman, a symbol of purity. Her work shaped the value placed on care and cleanliness in everyday Viennese life, inextricably linked to that precious commodity that made her work possible in the first place: soap.

This brings us round to the Viennese soap makers, who have been practising their craft for 700 years and passing on the art of soap-making from generation to generation. It was from this tradition that Wiener Seife was founded, still produced today according to a time-honoured secret recipe, with an eye for beauty and inspired by Viennese culture of well-being.

To mark the company’s 20th anniversary, this story is being brought to life in new splendour. A little piece of the Viennese way of life, captured in a glass ball on a wooden base. As a memento and an opportunity to pause and enjoy the moment.
